About Etheridge Cares

To assist senior Australians with living independently in their own homes, the Australian Government has created the Home Care Packages (HCP) Program.

Etheridge Cares is a not-for-profit incorporated community organisation that provides Remote Community Aged Care to the Etheridge Region and surrounding towns.

Etheridge Cares aims to employ local people and use local businesses to provide the support for our consumers whether they are living in town or on one of the many surrounding rural properties. Essentially this means we aim to use local supports to provide a local response to the local needs. Your Home. Your Way. Your Care. Your Community.

Etheridge Cares as the support provider has partnered with Trilogy Care as the Home Care Package Provider. Etheridge Cares is championed by a management committee affectionately known as the Committee of Champions, made up of a representative from each area in Etheridge.

Etheridge Cares

Providing Remote Community Care

To assist senior Australians with living independently in their own homes, the Australian Government has created the Home Care Packages (HCP) Program. Starting your Home Care journey means you will be future-proofing your older years and receiving funds to keep you in your own home.

Aged care is hard to come by in rural regions. There is a lack of choice in providers and care services who don’t live locally and charge significant costs for travel, and to service communities, for people who want to remain healthy, independent and connected to the community.

These high charges result in less visits from care workers, and inadequate support to properly care for the seniors in these towns. In many cases, our seniors have lived their entire lives on their property in Etheridge, and want to remain living the way they know how.
