Home Care Package Program

To assist senior Australians with living independently in their own homes, the Australian Government has created the Home Care Packages (HCP) Program. Starting your Home Care journey means you will be future-proofing your older years and receiving funds to keep you in your own home, and stay:

Well & Independent: Including personal care, nursing, and allied health services

Safe in your home: Including cleaning, gardening, home maintenance, home modifications, assistive technology and nutritional support.

Connected to your community: Including transport and social support services.

The Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) will assess your health, lifestyle, and living situation; from this information they grant packages to consumers on four different levels of care:

Level 1 Basic Care needs – $9,000* a year.

Level 2 Low care needs – $15,880* a year.

Level 3 Intermediate care needs – $34,570* a year.

Level 4 High care needs – $52,400* a year.

*These amounts are an approximate of the annual home care subsidy.

Home Care funds can only be spent on services included in a care plan and must be an inclusion contained in schedule 3 of the Quality Care Principles 2014. Third-party workers and service providers must meet mandatory requirements prior to commencement of services.

Greatly increase your care hours with lower rates, meaning your package goes further than traditional service providers and stays within our local community. Community Self-Managed Home Care delivers more control, choice, and care. Giving yourself, more independence and freedom as well as a healthier lifestyle.
